Fretamais
Charter-Rent Application

About the client
The owners of Fretamais have 25+ years of experience in the Brazilian bus-transport market. After joining forces with deÔnibus, one of the most significant bus tickets online portals of the country, they saw the unique market opportunity to mix their expertise in the transport industry and online marketing. One piece of the puzzle was missing still: a development partner.
The solution
After a few iterations of prototypes and cutting down distracting functionalities, we've found pinpoints that our application needed to cover. By connecting buyers and sellers, the goal was to build a marketplace that the client can manage in a semi-automated way. Settling the ground was fast and secure as we were adding blocks compacted in modules that let us work in a full agile manner. Including our colleagues from different teams helped to make the right decisions so we could keep pace and deliver implementation before the deadline.

Experimenting, fast iterations, and smart technology choices instead of tons of documents and too-long meetings.
Results
The MVP was a fast working web application that includes a variety of complex calculations behind a simple user interface. The responsive and stable solution gives us space for future development and integrations.

Accessible
from any device
We design our products in mobile-first approach when necessary, so end-customer can enjoy seamless experience across all popular devices.

When working on the project we focused on using the most recent technology pieces.
Fretamais relied on our recommendations and was not disappointed. We needed a scalable solution that is easy to implement and evolve with a growing number of users. Our technology stack was:
- Node.js
- Postgres
- REST/GraphQL
- JavaScript
- Typescript
- Docker
- CircleCI
- React.js
- MobX
- Jest
- Socket.IO
- Heroku
At every stage of the project, we kept transparency and clear communication. With structured plans and visible progress, our core team could see how we are doing at every step. That gave us a field for idea exchange and helped move forward across difficulties.
