About the client
Startupmatcher is a Norwegian company that dedicated itself to helping startups grow in two most essential aspects: finding and retaining top talent among employees and connect with investors. They’ve been focused on the Nordic region and since 2016 they have already served a thousand startups. Having worked with us in the past, they approached us with yet another startup project.
The challenge
DNB NXT with its events, community and the one and only matchmaking tool takes startup accelerators to the next level. Startupmatcher once again teamed up with one of the best banking institutions available to empower the Norwegian and Nordic startup scene. They approached us to make this project happen and we were more than happy to work on it.
The solution
With DNB NXT a fresh-looking and top-notch design was a top priority for our team. The sprightly interface’s goal was to attract entrepreneurs and convince them that they should reach for the highest. We wanted the site to represent all the possibilities DNB NXT opens for founders and founders-to-be and distinguish it from typical startup events. We built a site that matches the projects of tomorrow.
The style of NXT had to appeal to both young entrepreneurs and seasoned investors.
Results
The website we designed and built for the network has hosted more than 50 000 members, 4500 startups and 800 investors. The platform has grown to be one of the largest entrepreneurial communities in the Nordic region. In 2018, over 4200 investors and innovative entrepreneurs attended DNB NXT events to find inspiration, partners, investors and investment cases.

The world of startups often requires being on the move, so we put a major focus on making the website as mobile-friendly as possible.
When working on the project we focused on using the most recent technology pieces.
Our developers were responsible for new design implementation, code refactoring, and a few minor and major version updates. Our developers had successfully updated the old version with needed functionality and then rolled out a grand update according to the client’s requirements. The Startupmatcher NXT technology stack is:

Conversation is one of our most important values and a habit we support at every stage of our development process. Conversation is executed through digital tooling so the context is never lost. We use Slack for chat, Jira for planning, and Github for code reviews and discussion.
